It's that time of year. When I subject myself to no sleep and 50 hours of straight trivia. It's only 4 hours in and it's already crazy. I just got back from seeing George Winston play at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis. I forget how relaxing a piano soloist can be. I was kind of bummed that he didn't play more x-mas music since it is only 4 days away, but it was still a really good show. I think it was a nice way to end my show seeing this year and get ready for a fresh start in

I don't understand how people living in the Midwest, such as Minnesota, can whine about the snow and cold. It's part of living in this area. Granted, I don't enjoy the -30 wind chill either but I accept it as something I have to deal with like the 90 degree week in summer that makes me equally miserable. So I just found out that my job is willing to put me up in a hotel in downtown Minneapolis next week. I have a series of meetings and I thought I had to drive back and forth or find my own place to stay. So I'll be downtown Sunday through Friday next week.
