I know it's been awhile, but right after I finished my U.S. Tour, I flew to Thailand to play nanny for a set of twins and brought my little sis with me. I've been in a condo in Hua Hin for the past week and we're leaving for Bangkok tomorrow for another week. I'll be spending my birthday here, sober, with no friends.... Hi,
I have so enjoyed keeping up with your life. In doing some VN research I ran across your blog. I love the frankness of it all!

We have traveled to Vietnam twice to adopt our children (now 1 and 3) and just fell in love with the country. We are on a 5 year plan to live in Vietnam for a year. There are so many details! Jobs, international school, where to live, etc. But we are excited to start our journey. We begin VN lessons next month.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts,
Natasha

You have a picture of The Pickle Barrel! I worked at that terrible place for three weeks when I was 18 (15 years ago!). I quit because the guy who owned the place would mutter terrible things under his breath about the people walking by. Apparently he hated everyone who wasn't straight(looking) and white. He might also have been crazy.

Your pictures really made me miss Pittsburgh though. I love that city.

I can't believe you used to work at the Pickle Barrel!! haha! I knew there was a reason I had to take a picture of that! :)

Yeah, there were a lot of changes I noticed! Can't believe I was gone for so long! Oh, and didn't know you were from Pittsburgh! You sure moved a world a way.

Your observation's good. As the US progresses in technology or any other fields, Vietnam is always
in shortage of good English teachers to help them thinking outside of the box. And that's where you can make the difference, my friend.... Have a great birthday.

What a coincidence. I make a comment one day and you post the next. I really have missed your posts. The pictures are simply Maavelous. Please allow me to wish you a Happy Sober Birthday.Yuk!! So will you be back in HCM next week? What will you do when you return? You have been ranblin' around for so long the it will probably be hard for you to settle in. I really look forward to meeting you when we move to VN.

It was no coincidence, I was procrastinating and you just gave me an excuse to have to do it. :) When do you think you'll settle in by?
