Full Professor!

So this week I heard that I received the promotion to Full Professor. That's basically the top of the game in academia. My little room in the Ivory Tower is paid for, decorated and feeling mighty cozy right now. No more evaluations. No one else to please. (At least, no one who can impact me in any meaningful way.)

Your accomplishment is huge. And we need to plan a REAL celebration, because you have finally arrived. And just because you have many blue ribbons does not mean that you don't get to celebrate each and every one of them, because you have worked hard and have made your way

Alas, I have looked everywhere for the original manuscript of "The Elephant and the Ant." But I think it's time to try to recreate the story as best I can. Stay tuned.
