Ron didn’t drink. Aurors generally didn’t - why give your enemies the opportunity to find you with your guard down?
But he pretended to, regular as clockwork, every other day.

Oh, but I love this! The imagery you've created is simply gorgeous.

He would run his hands through Ron’s red hair, whispering soft words - not of love, but sweet nonetheless.

I can see and hear this in my head. Fingers sweeping through hair, and Draco's breathless whispers. :swoons:

And it all has this beautiful air of longing -- that Ron can only be with him when Draco believes he's drunk.

Ooooh, I like this lots! Poor Ron, needing Draco so much that he's willing to put up with a lie to get him, and willing to accept the tacit agreement that they won't remember and won't deal with what's between them. Great work!
