The flag looks more Italian than Irish but I find that happens a lot with Irish flags - if the orange is a bit too red it looks like an Italian flag! ;P
It is quite strange that I'm not really into drink. Especially since both my parents and my sister like it. But in many ways it is a good thing - my grandfather was an alcoholic and I'm just glad that my father wasn't one.
I never really noticed how different Ireland is to other countries but since living in Provence it's a lot easier to see how green it is - and how grey the skies are!
The strikes are very annoying. Especially because sometimes the professors try to teach us - and protestors come in and stop the professor. Very frustrating. But that's France, I guess.
You're absolutly right about the orange/red color of this flag !... That's why I hesitated before adding it... Promised, I'll work on it... or at least, I'll try ! ;) and next year, you'll have the REAL Irish flag ! =D
Today is TEH big day of strike, a little everywhere in France... Bloody annoying for the ones who want to work !
Like you say so well : "that's France"... The democratie way... to have the right of stopping a teacher in the middle of his class, the right to prevent people to go to work... and this kind of person can't bear to be stoped or prevented to do what they want !...
Good luck to you on this 19th March... Let's hope there won't be some evil people who will take the advantage of this big strike day to break stuff, put fire on cars... etc etc...

I don't think anything bad happened at least in Aix. I don't know about Marseille. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some burnt cars there.
Ah, Cate, you don't seem to have any problem with alcohol. At least not by Irish standards. But it can't be that bad if you admit you have a problem. That's the first step to solving problems, you know! *hugs*
I'm afraid that I'm not in a productive art class like music, theatre or drawing. I actually study 'history of art' which is very different! We study famous painters, sculptors and architects, mostly from Europe, from ancient Greece right up until modern art.
I draw and paint a little, though, but it's a hobby - I'm not studying art.
What a beautiful landscape!! Thank you for the pictures! :D And Happy belated St Patrick's ;) Dont you worry, I know how you feel being not typical Irish ... ;)
You're welcome! And thanks for stopping by! My mother told me on the phone that you sent me a letter? I haven't seen it yet because I'm still in France - I'll visit home at the end of April - but thank you, Ava! ;D
You are welcome. Really awesome pics, makes me wanna pack my bags and visit that beautiful country :) (and I could stop in France when I think about it xD)
Yay, so it actually arrived safe?! Makes me happy! :D Oh, you are welcome, I hope you'll like :D *HUGS*
