Hey bro, I've missed your journaling. I suck so much at web anything that I went out and purchased a template. I don't know if you'll have much luck finding a webpage template for your project...I will ask our computer guys if they can think of any helpful website references! take it easy!
What do you want this Intranet to do? I guess you want to use it as a document repository, if I'm reading between the lines correctly. Do you want a discussion board too? What have you got already, beside the installed server and scripting language?
This what Mark has loaded on the server for me http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/ more of a content management system than anything
The site is basically to organise information, need to have template pages for all customers with static content and links to their documentation. The one thing I have got sorted so far is how I want my menus to work.
Shouldn't be tough but I have never written a web page before.
Ah, got it now. I misread the reference to Appalacian. That sounds like better software than the I found :-)
It looks like what you're actually faced with is using phpWebSite rather than learning how to use PHP or "write" am intranet. Sorry to say, I don't think I can help you directly any further. Though, I should be able to help you with any PHP specific stuff.
I don't know how I missed this. I think I skimmed past and didn't recognise the icon so didn't bother reading (naughty)!
But if you want to email me the requirements of your intranet site I'll be happy to offer whatever assistance I am able (I've never created an intranet site before though so I don't really know how much help I will be)
This what Mark has loaded on the server for me http://phpwebsite.appstate.edu/ more of a content management system than anything so far I haven't been able to do anything with it but then I haven't really been able to concentrate on shift, got a couple of days this week to give it a go.
The problem is that I have so little knowledge of t'interweb sites that I don't "get" what it does and what it can help me acheive.

(Though somebody more knowledgably may be long in a minute with some better ideas).
