I take that to mean you're educating yourself about our ballot initiatives and local politicians, and getting ready to vote on Tuesday?

What's your take on the MD slots thing? I'm still really undecided about that. None of the arguments I've heard yet have done much for me.

I have already educated myself on things.

So, I'm going to vote yes on slots. I'm doing this because, near as I can tell, they're going to take the revenue from slots and add that to what they already give the state Department of Education, and I'm all about more money for education. If this isn't the case and I've been misinformed, please let me know.

How safe is this money? I ask, because in NH, they said they were going to use the income from state lottery to fund education, but they left a loophole that allowed statesmen to access it for other means. It took some years to drift that way, but after a while only a small fraction was actually going to schools and nobody had any good answer about what happened to the rest.
