I managed to get the paper through interlibrary loan today. I've made one pass through it so far. I think I need to read it once or twice more before I get into it, but it sounds reasonable so far, and the authors propose an experiment to verify some of their predictions, so I look forward to hearing about the results of those experiments (if the ( Read more... )

The JHU library network doesn't have the journal article I was looking for, but they WILL request it via inter-library loan for free. They are currently processing my request.

I think this does a very good job of explaining the current economic situation and possible solutions to get back to a secure place, financially speaking.

If you haven't seen Jon Stewart's interview with Jim Cramer last night, try to catch it tonight at 7 or 8 (I don't know when last night's repeat of the Daily Show comes on today) or try to go to Comedy Central's website and watch it, because it really is brilliant.

So, there's a strong chance that I'll be spending some time in Colorado Springs for work in the not too distant future. It seems like most of the flights out there involve stop overs at O'Hare.
