Yes, as a slasher so do I, :-) but canon wise I'm very, very happy with them as they are written and so beautifully depicted and acted by BC and MF.

I am so glad to see that there are others in the Sherlock fandom who can appreciate the close relationship that Holmes and Watson have in and of itself.

I think we really live in a skewed world where the highest form of love must be sexual and there are so many 'fangirls' who keep saying.. if Sherlock and John don't do it they will stop watching the show. *sigh* And the cries of gay bashing in Sherlock as well, I wonder why they all forget that Gatiss is gay and therefore will not be writing homophobic stories. The jokes about JOhn and Sherlock being gay are just jokes and nothing more should be read into them.

Yes it was just the kind of comments (often found on tumblr) you mention that pushed me to write this as I was so damn exasperated by them! Plus I feel that the jokes about John and Sherlock being gay are really a reflection on our society, as I've already mentioned so I won't repeat myself.

Rant away, I often feel like doing so when faced when certain aspects of the Sherlock fandom and their screams of homophobia!
