What I wore to take the bus to work this morning:

Thermal leggings
Microfibre ¾ sleeve t-shirt
Heavy wool hooded cardigan sweater
Cotton pants

I had sent my down coat to the cleaner while I was in Atlanta and haven't picked it up yet. Fortunately, thanks to Weight Watchers, I'm able once more to fit back into my old wool coat with the fake fur collar and cuffs. It felt pretty good this morning. But the polar fleece scarf around my mouth and nose could not keep me warm without resulting in foggy glasses. I felt like Monet in is blurry water lily stage, and nearly plowed into an early morning dog walker. The thing that really makes the difference for me is wool socks. I've finally managed to amass a whole week's worth in sizes that actually fit my little girly feet.

Wool socks are a huge boon, indeed. I also managed to procure decently warm boots a few years ago and my toes have been grateful ever since.

The foggy glasses issue is one of the many reasons I wear contact lenses. This does not, however, help me on very sunny winter days (of which we have many) where it's either wear my sunglasses and get fogged, or be blinded by snowbanks. Argh.

I gave my parents wool socks for Hannukah. And bought two more pairs for myself, and four for Nav!

I hear you about the blinding. And the cold.
