 when "A" is good , "B" is bad and "C" is ok, so i focus on "A"
when "A" is bad "B" is good , and "C" is great and that feels good cause i dont expect that much from "C"
and "A" gets boring , and "B" is a B grade friend.
this is a general theory, but its also a good way to be indirect.
