everything is now in order for my trip...all flights, all accomadations, now all that is left to do is wait. Having all of these things all sorted out really brings a new degree of reality to the whole thing.

Well, the electricity has now been out for nearly two days, which isn't exactly pleasant, considering that it's rather cold. Trying to sleep last night was miserable, it was insanely cold in the house, and well, I didn't have nearly enough blankets to make it tolerable. Aside from that, last night was nice. I re-read 'Girlfriend In a Coma' by Douglas Coupland this past weekend and was honestly even more impressed this time than the first time I read it about two years ago. The second later of the two Belle and Sebastian shows in DC tonight is now cancelled, due to the fact that Stuart has a chest infection...good thing I have a ticket to the early show!

My dad has to go in for angioplasty tomorrow...wish him luck, the man has lots of life in him yet.
