ok so this is what i have been thinking about a lot lately. i feel like i don't fit anywhere. this is not a blah blah pity me crap thing. this is truly how i feel. I think the whole 'your mom' thing is coming back due to Napolean Dynamite. So it's not too weird to hear it being used a lot.

really? maybe that is where they heard it. i didn't actually see that movie so maybe i am the boring one after all....still people at my school will use it in anything. For example, say one person says "I like pickles" - two seconds later someone says - "Your mom likes pickles!" get it?? yeah it pretty much goes on in some ridiculous way like this...never ending..but like i said maybe it's just me. I am so old i am out of touch with these young people these days and all of their hip street slang..haha..now i sound like my mom ;)

I know exactly what you mean. A lot of people I've just recently re-connected with are obsessed with the movie, and they use it all the time too. Although it is funny every once in a great while, it usually gets on my nerves. I have seen the movie, twice actually, and I am still uncertain as to what I think of it. It's not good, or bad.. it's just different. Anyways, welcome back to posting :)

should be "Your face! Can't beat that!" That quote comes from a little show called Scrubs.

I know what it is like to be the "weird one," to feel like one doesn't belong. I went to a Christian college for two years, and during that time not once did I feel I belonged. I dyed my hair different colors to set myself apart, and I would often go off to be alone. I thought I was unique until the second semester when the entire soccer team started to dye their hair...copy-cat jerks.

The age thing might be a difference. I'm 27 and I can't relate to the younger kids in my classes (thankfully there are older adults my age in there too). You just have to stick it out if you feel that the school is where you need to be, and eventually the friends will start to fall into place.
