Clark Kent is too good to me...

Today has been a big day so far, and it's only 3:06 pm.  At around 11:37 am, the door bell rang and gave me quite a start as I sat in the hallway fiddling with iMovie and wedding video footage (something I've been doing all day - and it's been a bit frustrating to say the least).  Anyway, I ran to the door and opened it quickly to see the Asda Man ( Read more... )

LOVE all the food photos!! I'm sure you've noticed I'm a big fan of all things food and photo. As the wife of an avid bread baker, I second your comment on the 4 kinds of flour being a necessity. We have some funky ingredients that make delicious breads! Also, Stella Artois in a can? The UK really is better!!

Ah yes, the internet grocery shop. Did you ask for baking soda or bicarbonate soda? The great thing about ordering online (at least with Tesco) is that it saves your preferences so you can put in "milk" and it will put your favorite size and selection on top...cool. It's nice to see the familiar products from our scotland days...the silver spoon sugar etc.

You know, I was a fan of Tesco back in 2000 and so anxious to go back...but I hate to say this, Wal-Mart (Asda) just can't be topped!

Yeah, I selected soda bicarbonate (though I refuse to call it that and will continue with the baking soda...just like I will never say "toilet" or "rubbish").

I don't know...the whole toilet/bathroom distinction makes sense to me. After all if there is no bath in it, why call it a bathroom. Even now I find myself in America asking where the toilet is. I'm sure people here just think I'm crass. And "rubbish" is such a fun word. Much more fun than "garbage". My favorite though is, "bin it". Have a fun weekend in jolly old England.
