Hope everyone had a lovely holiday! Instead of getting up early for Black Friday shopping, I got up early and saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1 in IMAX this morning. Sooooo worth the $18.50.

mostly flaily and spoilery comments on HP7 and my HP marathon )

gorgeously bleak is completely the appropriate description lissy. it was awesome but definitely bleak as hell.

Emma did a wonderful job. I've accused her of not being able to act in the past, but I think she easily held this movie together. Like Ron said, they wouldn't last two days without her.

i will admit her acting was better in this movie. a great improvement even from the last one.

super rad vid too

I just got home from seeing this and it struck me in the theatre (but then I forgot) and your review reminded me: I really missed Minerva in this one! And Hogwarts in general. Sniff.

But it was excellent. Probably my favorite of the franchise. They are real adults now. Sigh.

I didn't miss the Hogwarts school term structure until I watched the past movies. But yeah, this movie was fantastic, very adult and very real. The next one will probably kill me. :)
