Reason number nine million to not name your female children after their mothers: Mom's credit mistakes get posted on daughter's credit report. You learn exciting things when you are apartment hunting... I know something else will come along, but I am sure bored with going to look at places.

I would never curse my children with my legal name anyway, and my first name is MINE. hehe ;)

I am doubly cursed, my mom and my cousin both have the same first name as I do. I'm not sure why they didn't notice the billions of other girls names to choose from. Then they gave me a boring middle name so now I have a name like the heroine of a bad victorian romance novel. All I need are some Laura Ashley prints and a fainting disorder and I'll be set.

Of course the fact that I keep threatening to move onto a boat, get a tattoo of an anchor on my arm, and run around town with a bottle of rum chasing girls means I'll probably never actually resemble the aforementioned heroine. (But I'll have lots more fun.)

a bit dated yes, but i was perusing something or other, jus..... anyways, to the point.... guys are named after their fathers, and get the suffix Jr. [etc...] does that hold for women as well? jc... ps, i added you...
