Senate Passes Business Fraud Bill

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I read this, congress just spent my tax dollars to pass a bill that essentially says "from now on, it will be illegal for businesses to do that things that are illegal." Uh, nifty. Thanks so much for clearing that up.

Reason number nine million to not name your female children after their mothers: Mom's credit mistakes get posted on daughter's credit report. You learn exciting things when you are apartment hunting... I know something else will come along, but I am sure bored with going to look at places.

Friend called me in the middle of the night to tell me her mother-in-law died. The brain damage was too severe for her to live without life support, so they made the decision to take her off the machines at about 10 last night. My best friend's mother-in-law is in the hospital, in the trauma center. Her aorta ruptured and was bleeding out into her heart lining. That, in itself is bad enough.
