[Vanille's walking along the shore, watching the waves and looking up at the stars as they slowly appear in the night sky. Aliunde isn't too bright that you can't see the stars at night, but out in the climate zones the sky is even clearer. It's nice to get out and just appreciate nature sometimes. The city's nice, but Vanille misses her home at times.]
[The sight of an indistinct figure coming closer almost prompts Amelia to move, but something about the silhouette catches her interest. Once Vanille is close enough to recognize...it feels as if it's a gift. A gift that she doesn't know if she deserves. Is it even right to disturb a friend?]
Vanille?
[The sound is as if she's pleading. Amelia hesitantly raises one hand, still keeping hold of the umbrella in the other.]
[Vanille grins when she sees her friend, and she waves enthusiastically in return.] Amelia! What're you doing out so late? [Ignoring the fact that she's also out and about at this time.]
[Amelia slowly stands up and folds up the umbrella.] Enjoying the starshine...the beach. [She looks down at her feet.] Wishing there were more people at night.
[She walks towards Vanille and extends her arms, trying to invite a hug. She hasn't actually touched someone in weeks. What does she have to do to get Vanille to hug her. Please.]
Most people prefer the beach in the daytime, I think. But the stars are really pretty. [Vanille glances out over the ocean and smiles, at it and then at Amelia.
Amelia was getting a hug whether she wanted one or not, so good thing that worked out. Vanille wraps her arms around the other girl, pulling her into a tight hug.] I haven't seen you in a while! How are things?
[Amelia wraps her arms around Vanille. There's a quiet, deeply relieved sigh, and Amelia smiles gently. She rests her head against Vanille's shoulder, because she's short enough to do so.]
Things have been changing. People disappearing and arriving. The new people are intimidating. [She opens her eyes halfway.] Um, during daytime, the sun would burn...the stars feel so nice.
[Vanille lets Amelia hug her as long as she wants, rubbing her back gently.] A lot of people have been leaving, but there's still some good people sticking around, yeah? And a lot of the newbies are super nice!
Mh-hm. You're right. [Her arms relax somewhat. She'll let go soon enough.] They probably feel alone, too...it's best for them if someone talks to them, too. H-Hopefully, I won't bother them?
[Take your time, bb, Vanille loves them hugs.] Of course you won't! I think the more friendly faces people meet, the better. Especially if they've just arrived.
Mh-hm. Everyone needs friends...usually, the newbies aren't heard from very much after the first message. Maybe that means they've found company? [Amelia finally lets go. Look how much happier she is.]

[Amelia's not letting go yet. Pay no attention to how weak her arms are. At least she's not uncomfortably bony anymore.]
