Though they do cuss rather frequently. It is, unfortunately, a fairly apt characterization of our job market from what I understand.

I suspect the job market is fairly similar to all humanity-type folks (except for the crazy gender-imbalance stuff in philosophy, though I'm not sure about the gender demographics for medievalists).
