What one might do on a rainy Friday
I got my tdap shot today - tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis. My last tetanus shot had been in May 2014, so it had expired, and although I got my childhood vaccinations, we have a fairly high number of people with pertussis in our county (250 or so), so it seemed best to be safe. When the Cartoon Network started showing Sailor Moon, probably back in mid-June, J and I were enthusiastic about watching it, since it's obviously classic anime. Atwood, Sorin, and something called a bomb cyclone
Today I got to watch a livestreamed conversation with Margaret Atwood, who is visiting Oregon State. She turned 85 yesterday but it's obvious that her brain is doing great.
Our current weather pattern is called something like a "bomb cyclone" and will bring a whole lot of rain to parts of northern California. We'll get maybe 3" here in the next ( Read more... ) -
Sorin at the vet
Today was Sorin's regular checkup, and he's been barely eating and seemed pretty thin, so I was glad that was happening right before his appointment because it's increasingly hard to get an appointment with our veterinary practice. It's good I am so fond of rain
We have been experiencing an impressive amount of rain. Thankfully, I haven't had to go anywhere this weekend besides back and forth between my house and J's house, and I can time that for between the showers. Friday things
We had a break in the rain today so I did errands rather than getting much work done; I hope I’ll have time to be more productive tomorrow. The Friday movie was Honey We Shrunk Ourselves, the third in the series, and it was okay as light entertainment.
