Better
Thankfully, I seem to have now recovered from my Covid shot - didn't feel great when I woke, by I was normal enough by evening. A grad student with an assignment to interview a psychology researcher had contacted me, and today was the day we'd scheduled for our conversation (phone). It went well, and I found it energizing! Recovering
Thankfully, last night after I'd gotten past the first round of Covid-booster chills, I did sleep for two and a half hours without waking, and I slept for maybe eight hours total, but waking six or seven times... which is MUCH better than I did after last year's shot, but still non-wonderful. So far, so good
I've had remarkably good energy all day today, even with getting my Covid booster 11.5 hours ago. J also got his flu shot and ended up napping a bunch, but I was going to the store, doing a walk, and so on. Any minute now I expect to feel pretty uncomfortable, but I have a bunch of extra blankets to bundle up with.

Mild dread
Tomorrow at 2 pm I'm getting my annual Covid shot. I expect that my arm will start hurting soon thereafter, but I'll feel otherwise okay until around 1:30 am, where if past experience holds, I'll start having strong chills as if I were coming down with the flu, and my blood sugar levels will drop, and I may get a headache too, and I'll sleep ( Read more... ) -

Isabella is now sailing the world to see more types of dragons in person, and she gets involved in complications arising from international politics. Happy birthday to me! Today D came over and I opened gifts from them in the afternoon. J had acquired fun small things for me on four of his trips. An overcast Saturday
Today I did a variety of moderately interesting errands, then watched Oregon defeat Maryland in football, then wrestled with changes in Wordpress to get my new blog post online. Such a pain. I've had a headache since then, and I hope it will be gone tomorrow when I wake up, because it will be my birthday!

Batman & Robin
Tonight's Friday movie was Batman & Robin, which I had not seen, and which is generally considered quite bad. The thing is, since most of my Batman exposure was the Adam West series, rather than the dark and brooding movies made much later, I was perfectly happy to watch a campy Batman with oodles of puns and otherwise corny dialogue. Yay, the Avatar concert
After all the stress of this week, and with all the stress anticipated for the future, it was absolutely wonderful tonight to go to the Avatar: The Last Airbender concert with J.
