Kitty Carlisle Hart, now 95 years old, attributes her longivity to an invariable practice. Every morning she gets up, looks in the mirror, and says, "Kitty, I forgive you."

So, I've been trying that lately. It hasn't made me feel better about me, but I've certainly forgiven Kitty many times over.

Here in the City the usual mass Exodus has occurred and now tumbleweeds are rolling through Times Square. Due to our hateful decision not to take a beach house this year we are stuck in the City with the rest of the rubes. Ah well, the City in the summer has its charms.
