Kitty Carlisle Hart, now 95 years old, attributes her longivity to an invariable practice. Every morning she gets up, looks in the mirror, and says, "Kitty, I forgive you."
So, I've been trying that lately. It hasn't made me feel better about me, but I've certainly forgiven Kitty many times over.
We were able to snatch up two tickets to "Grey Gardens," the new MUSCIAL, starring Christine Ebersole (as Little Eddie) and Mary Louise Wilson (as Big Eddie). What could be gayer than a musical "Grey Gardens"? I will report

We saw "The Aristocrats" on Saturday night. My gut is healing nicely, thank you; the split only took twenty or so stitches. Truly, truly funny and amazing.
"Light on the Piazza" was fantastic. I wept. No, we did NOT have an understudy for the female lead (who was every inch deserving of her Tony), but we did have one for the supporting female lead who, actually, was quite good

Here in the City the usual mass Exodus has occurred and now tumbleweeds are rolling through Times Square. Due to our hateful decision not to take a beach house this year we are stuck in the City with the rest of the rubes. Ah well, the City in the summer has its charms. Tonight we're going to see "Swan Lake" at ABT. BF's parents arrive tomorrow
