LOL NBC!

First, GOOD MOVE, Community is back January 2nd, in it's usual Thursday 8pm timeslot. Whatever, it's way better than most other shows and I love it, yeah, I said it.

It's a great recap because it's an affectionate review but also WTH show?

I'm just amused by the utter shitshow of Sleepy Hollow's backstory. I honestly don't care. I sold my soul to that episode as soon as they fist bumped.

Right? That was the best. And then you're like "oh they're gentry in a drawing room as well? OKAY!"

At least SPN threw it all at the wall over nine seasons, not nine episodes... but when Ichabod and Abbie were all demon in the hex circle thingy! I was all "yeah, I know this one."

I read that io9 recap yesterday and nearly choked with laughter. "Ah, yes, my favorite part of Colonial history was when the families of nobility got their sons affianced to Quaker nurses." SERIOUSLY. What is WITH Katrina's backstory? Is she a Quaker or not? And what Quaker thinks a diamond circled emerald pendant the size of a quarter is understated and perfect???

But in order to watch SH, you just have to let stuff like that go. You have to let all of it go, actually, and just focus on how pretty Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie are.

I thought seriously *I'd* missed something. Because I do tend to wander when there's a lot of expositioncakes. But I was honestly confused by that Quaker-nobility switcharoo. They want "Salem witches" AND "British regency romance" all at the same time! Then there was that whole engaged-to-his-best-friend thing. WHAT?!

But look! Mmmm pretty people. Mmmm.

Genevieve is awesome and was one of the panelists for my Victorian Gothic program last year.

Eep, I need to start booking performers for that soon!
