This is ... unbelievable. The way. You characterize Jack, both in his inner thoughts and in his relations with the people around him, the way you construct your story almost completely outside the range of canon while still making it feel perfectly right, the deft handle you have over time -- alternating between scenes of one night, then skipping ahead, then freezing long enough for single moments of intimacy .... It's all masterfully done. Congratulations, you've utterly wrecked me.

I've said it before but I'll say it again -- this was absolutely fascinating, even while taking place entirely before canon, which is a huge feat to pull off. Your insights on Jack are amazing, and each of the OCs are people I want to know more of, and I want to hug Michelle and any Michelle/Jack interaction and I want to shoot Silas and I really, really, really want to hug Jack, because oh, baby :-( Heart, woe, you know the drill. Hell, you practically invented it.

I can't really think clearly enough to really write a review, but I want to say I love your insight on Jack. And his different relationships. And his relationships with his sister (more please!!!), Silas and Rose. Mommy loves him best, I know it.

And Jack kinda makes me wanna cry and give him a hug.
