This entire house is held together by endless layers of lumpy paint.

I've been adding more. I used some BIN Primer earlier, and now it looks like I went and got a French manicure. I feel pretty!

BTW, you and I have the same birthday. The only other person I ever met who had the same birthday as me was an odd little German man who was plain out hump-happy and had really bad boundaries. We were BOTH staying at someone else's house, and he REARRANGED THEIR FURNITURE because he thought it would look better.

I just ran across this entry and your title cracked me up. Because I envisioned a woman up on stage, wearing 5 layers of flowy patterned all-cotton material, trying to dance in rhythm to Enya.

I know you wrote this like a million years ago, but I happened by your journal after reading some entertaining comments in a community we share (read: stalker) and loved this entry since it's relevant to my life right now having just purchased a 1920's home where people covered the beautiful woodwork with paint. And didn't even do a good job. And painted over varnish, so it's crocodiling. Ugh.
