There's nothing more there, it's genetic or something. All animals know what eyes are, i.e. spitting cobras going spitting at the eyes.

i think they know the same way we do
and anyway it only seems that we see with eyes,
the actual image is in the brain
so the animals just look for similarities
to themselves in other animals.
just like we do.
