I hurt my knee running and sitting at a desk and being a young female. I think I have chondromalacia which means my knee cap is screwed up. It should heal itself in a few weeks if I avoid exercise and stay away from stairs. Unfortunately I live on the fourth floor and I don't know of any elevator.

I want to document what a typical day at work here is like for me. If any of you are jealous that I am having awesome adventures abroad then maybe this will make you feel better ( Read more... )

So I can use LJ pretty easily again now. The oppressive scheme did not work on me. Last weekend Mike and I went to YYs which is an Indian restaurant with decent beer. The best beer we can get elsewhere is Budweiser. When faced with Chinese competition, even the worst American beers win out. YYs has a lot of imported stuff from Europe though. ( Read more... )

I have not been able to use LJ lately because China has banned the site. It's super lame. I'm not sure if this is going to work, but I thought it is worth a try.

They shoot fireworks off all day and all night. It's not the pretty light kind, but the traditional Chinese kind that just make noise continuously and generate lots of smoke. I'm out for my winter break!! Last week was Boring with a capital B. All my classes were cancelled except for two on Tuesday, but they still had me come in just to sit at my desk and do nothing. Gawd, it was unbearable. I think for the break I might meet up with Keely and go for some vacation fun. We still have a bit of planning to do though.
