Natural Fear
I'll be the first to admit it... I don't always deal extremely well with big changes, even when I know that I need them. For instance, I am always nervous about going back to school, I have been since gradeschool and nothing has changed except perhaps the intensity of the nervousness now that I am in college. Disgusting
The marshmallow consistency of the human body disgusts me. Ergo: my own body type disgusts me as well. People tell me I'm thin, but for my particular frame, I'm actually overweight. My body fat content is way more than it should be. I am utterly disgusting in my own eyes ( Read more... ) -
Stranger in my home
I am home. But this place feels quite different to me now. Like a guesthouse, it is comfortable, familiar, but not my own. I cannot recall the girl that lived here before me. She is so familiar but she and I are not quite the same. There is something within that has shifted; some deep change has taken place. It is not, I believe, a great or drastic ( Read more... ) -
Skimming the surface
I have officially decided that instead of locking myself inside of a practice room for eight hours to perfect every single exercise I need to learn for my music exams, I'm going to perfect everything I already know, which is about 80-90% of what is supposed to be learned, and I'm just going to halfass the rest of it ( Read more... )
