if your proposition is the case, and we've all chosen the lives we're currently living, then isnt everyone already in heaven meaning that there is no 'life,' only the 'afterlife?' does someone actually have to live the life first in order for it to become a choice or is it already predetermined and you, as an immortal soul, simply select the life as you would a car? why would anyone choose to be, for example, a refugee living in the sudan (or is that hell)?
it seems to me that if we all preselect the life we choose, then our actions are completely predetermined and we have no control over them, which means we can't be held accountable, so no one could go to hell because who would choose a life that ended in their eternal damnation?
also, if you never actually live your own life to begin with and you just preselect your life, then no soul is either good or bad. they are just choosing different lives to lead, so there really would be no need for a heaven or a hell
