Ugh! Not the comfy cross-country Route 66 cruise I'd imagined!
Sounds horrid. Lots of rushed interstate in the Smart, and crossing the Mojave without air. You are all heroes.
I've wasted time in Vegas with car troubles. The flash fades when you are stuck in auto limbo.
Your house looks fantastic, and I loved the tour guided by the lad. Good heavens, he can only have been four when I first met him in April 2006 in Frankfurt. Still full of style and joy, I see.
Glad you've found friends - I remember when Kerri and I lived on "The Patch" aboard HMAS Cerberus. We'd often have picnics and gatherings, the kids running around, the adults trying to ignore ranks, the spouses (like me) chatting.
We have plenty of time to see more of 66. It is just down the road.
This was our normal type of family trip. We love to travel, but actually do much better on tours, only because someone else is in charge of the logistics. Gives us time to enjoy our surroundings.
Love your journal....but so do miss you. tlagraveJuly 18 2013, 04:59:53 UTC
Girl, you are way too funny and I am loving this every minute. Need to have Wendall send Matt a video, too, at swimmingteam2007@yahoo.com . He really misses him.

Wendall is starting to put a few videos on YouTube. He misses his friends so much. I was glad that he and Matt were able to spend so much time talking when we went to the farm.

So do enjoy our time there. I so wish we had opportunities to go there more often. Well, need to go to bed and get up early to take Matt to his first job..working in the amazing organic garden. Let you know how it goes...probably send texts to you tomorrow, since hubby will be home around the time I get on the computer...so no computer time tomorrow night. Love you.
We liked Despicable Me 2 very much. The first one was SO funny that this one had a harder time keeping up for us, but the laugh out loud parts were truly LOL's! Glad you liked the movie!
