I'm not good at figuring out cryptic or subtle. I think it's because I'm so optimistic that if someone isn't really direct, I can twist what they say and do to mean whatever I want it to mean. Someone can just be friendly, and I'll read all kinds of meaning into it ( Read more... )

I feel like I heard things that weren't actually there to be heard. My optimism, again. This weekend we'll be sure we communicate, not just talk.
