Since the first of the year, I have bent, crunched, walked, and run my way silly, all in an effort to shed a few unwanted pounds. My efforts have been almost entirely in vain. Amidst the ongoing drama that is my life, I have found a peculiar form of relaxation: chopping wood. More specifically, I have begun to clear brush from my backyard. I drove myself to the ER today, after experiencing a sudden numbness in the left side of my body. The docs at St. John ran blood tests, an Electrocardiogram, and a CAT scan, among other tests, but could not identify a cause for my condition. They sent me home after six hours with instructions on reducing stress.
