Today…not the greatest of days, unfortunately. My Shakespeare exam did not go as well as planned. And it’s looking like $1000 of my financial aid has not been distributed yet

How did you have a murderous Shakespeare test the second week of school? One of my classes hasn't even MET yet.

Five words: Advanced Shakespeare with Bruce Boehrer. The test was on rhetorical tropes (like metaphor and, my favorite, prosopopeia) and prosody (ie, scanning lines of poetry). Not the easiest of material. I can see why he would want us to know that stuff before we start reading Shakespeare, but it was just a bit much. Oh well.
