Auckland trip (Part 1)

As my rambling post last week said, I went up north for a concert last week. I headed up to Auckland for the Big Day Out  (my first!).

Dad grew up near black sand beaches in the Nth Island. He said he used to go down after thunderstorms and find (essentially) bits of steel instead of glass like on normal beaches :

Also, do you mean Wendy's the ice cream place or Wendy's the fast food place?

Oooo I'll have to really search the beaches for interesting stuff when I go there in Feb then. That would be cool to find :D

And Wendy's the fast food place. We don't have one in Wellington yet :(
