The Day

Well the day has been a strange one. Last night we had the news of the changes in the Deadline line up, and it was all a bit strange (but If you are interested in that you'll have to read ukwarwickdood 's journal).

The day was mad busy at work (so much so that nipping for a wee seemed like a break that I couldn't afford the time to take). I had a small ( Read more... )

Thankyou for having workds with the phone charger fairy.... It worked!

I found it this morning.

Sorry to hear you are having a crap time of it too. You are always welcome at my house. :-)

I may have to get you take away though as (living with a veggie) the kitchen is a bit of a nut zone.

YOu know, I have been thinking a lot about kids in school. It strikes me as just another symptom of 'victim' culture that there is a lot more information in the media about what to do if your kids are being picked on at school... and it seem to me, not as much on signs to look out for that your kid may be a little prat. It is like treating the syptms, and not the disease. Parents don't want to think poorly of their own kids because it points out their defficiencies.

...bah. And I don't even work with kids :p

What a shitty day! I have heard this rant many many times from mum, and it really does seem like things are getting worse in schools, each year. You really don't want to know what the little gits at mum's school have started doing, let's just say it involves leaving unpleasant calling cards on the surfaces in the bogs!

Hope you are feeling better today *HUG*

Thanks for the *hugs*, I hope the job hunting bares big juicy fruit soon.

We had a phantom shitter at Meadowhead. We found random turds in bizarr places.

And yes it does seem to be getting worse. But the signs are that a backlash is starting.

I hate the response I get at parents evenings of " *sigh* yes well that's just what little Timmy's like, he's always been like that" WELL FUCKING DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT THEN!!

I am not your child's parent. You are. Gah!

I had a cunning idea for detentions: ( am currently of the 'lines' or 'write what you did wrong') give them a dictionary and get them to write definitions for "obnoxious" "arrogant" etc. At least its educating them in some way.

"Do I look like a scrubber?" er, yes!
