One of my summer jobs was working with an MZP ceramic. I had to grind the powder small enough and then add water and some additive (don't remember what it was). I poured the slip into the plaster of paris mold and then got to watch the wall form. The slip worked the way it was supposed to and pulled away from the wall. But the form wasn't uniform. The bottom was much thicker than the top.
