Okay, the question came up at project night tonight. How were mid-to-late 16c (c.1570) (armor) legs worn? Did they point to a doublet? Did they attach to the breastplate? Did such a thing as we consider normal leg armor in the SCA even exist ( Read more... ) -

Anyone know of anything interesting going on in the DC metro area mid-week (maybe Wednesday, maybe Thursday) before New Years? I have about a day before I'm planning on heading down to see Grandparents. I can either hang out with the big sister, brother-in-law and only nephew, or do stuff that isn't conducive to having an 20-month old around :) -

Push leftovers
Push for Pennsic wasn't anywhere near as big as we were hoping, and lunch wasn't incredibly well advertised for a multitude of reasons (all of which are easier to spot in hindsight). Therefore we have TONS of food left over: probably around 200 pasties, about 2/3 bushel of apples, lots of baby bell cheese, probably somehwere around 9 doz ( Read more... ) -
