okay so its not all that random. tracing backward i go from here to Jon's journal to RateYourRatty, which i am a member of. So actually what i came to say is that after reading his journal and your comments i am totally in envy of your relationship with him. its been a long time since i've seen a parent treat their child like you do and its a wonderful thing to me. you accept each other for who you are not who you want the other to be and i'm so JEALOUS! i totally wish my parents were like that.

I wrote a long and tedious response while at work Friday, then accidentally deleted it when some people came into my office.

Anyway, thank you for the compliment. I worked very hard to have the kind of relationship with Jon that I had always wanted with my parents, but never really had. It's worked well for us, and I'm always grateful.

I peeked into your journal, and frankly, you sound quite a lot like Jon. I'm adding you, if you don't mind.

AND I think I'm going to present Celeste, my blue agouti dumbo girl to Rate Your Ratty soon! Watch for her!!

whoops!
