I've never had a single bow, but I don't know if I would like it. You do rush your bow, so just bow like your character would bow, not like you would bow. See if that helps.
I am self-conscious when singing onstage as well. I like to sing, but only when I am completely confident that I can sing the song perfectly.

And I just killed a small fly on the computer. EWWWWW
