Sammy has developed a severe ear infection over the past few days, but he's been staying with my grandma while I've been working my 60 hour week, so I didn't discover this until I was playing with him this morning. I was listening to NPR in the car tonight after fencing. While being interviewed about the recent inductions into the Baseball Hall of Fame, a baseball historian said, "The Negro Leagues have always been something of a black hole in baseball history." He seemed to be completely unaware of what he'd just said, but I nearly crashed.
