Brent Ullom passed away on Friday, January 26th after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  His strength, dedication, faith, and joie de vie will be missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire.

Been a while...

Friday before break, I had a student cuss me out and get up in my face. It was actually pretty hilarious, but a nice reminder that public high school sucks... That was pretty much the highlight.

Just home from a crazy Monday at work. Today I confiscated a flat razor from a kid in first period and wrote up two girls for piercing eachother's noses in the bathroom--and that was all before lunch. Lovely children we have at MHS. Just home from working 12+ hours between teaching and the model home.  Crazy, I know.  And this crazy bad mood I'm in is not resultant from the extensive hours of work.  I'm just having one of those nights where I want to drink a bottle of wine and climb under the blankets...

So it's late and I'm sick and tired and hurt and pissed off.  I'm just very discouraged about everything at this point--23, working a job I don't like and two part-time jobs just in case I fly off the handle and quit and am fired from my "real" job.  Living in a town I don't want to live in, spending most of my nights alone in bed by 10 PM, ( Read more... )
