Thanks, Mech!! NOt quite as gorgeous as the photos you've been posting!!! But nothing can quite beat the characters of middle earth for being good scenery.

Maybe we could put "my" scenery in your scenery? We could pretend those sunlit woods are the woods are the beginning of the Woody End before the journey gets dark.
Yeah, they are pretty, aren't they? And I'm embarrassed to say I'd never been to Hurricane Ridge before, and it's so close to my home. Though I have been in the vicinity many times! Just not up there!! How silly is that?
And unflattering names for not posting? Name calling proves to be successful incentive in this case. I posted, didn't I? (Though it may take some nasty gestures to get me to do it again before the week is out!! That's what I'm aiming for! (the posting, not the gestures!)
Alas, all the magic carpets are underground this season. I think they rise with the crickets every 17 years (is this an obscure reference? Do you have 17 year crickets in your part of the world?).
The first one looks like Frodo and co could be just about to come into shot
Yes!! And of course I will forever be looking for Frodo and co. I found "the road" (of which Frodo told his companions to "GET OFF" ) on another hike--this one at Mt. Rainier, which is a little south of us. I swear I was dreaming middle earth that whole hike. It was a few years ago and I was never out of the grip of lotr thinking. The scenery was so matched to my dreaming!!
