I did Buca (with a group of 10) last night, too. I'm still full.

Depending on the type of yarn it was, you might not want to learn to knit with handspun yarn. It sometimes (but not always) has a tendency to be uneven, which is frustrating for a novice knitter to work with. I'd pick up some cheap non-acrylic yarn somewhere to learn with and get the pretty stuff once you have the basics down. :)

It's just up the road from that Windmill restaurant, the one you mentioned recently. I'll ask John exactly where it was.

She even had looms and spinning wheels, as well as natural uncarded wool that you can dye yourself. It looks like fun - that's picking up a whole other hobby, though. :)

My daughter, a friend and I saw Lion King a few years back. The costumes, dancing and music are so interesting! I found myself glued to all the characters. It is playing in Louisville next year and I am tempted to see it again.

I am a History major (sophomore) and envy your opportunity to see a place like Gettysburg. We are actually studying the Civil War now (end of first American history section. There is a lot to understand about the differences between the North and South (it wasn't just about slavery) and how we came together after it was over "from sea to shining sea".
