College life is rockin' so far. I just finished band camp yesterday. I love my section with all of my heart. Every last minute of my days and nights have been filled with something to do. Band camp every day from 9-9, and then every night someone had something planned. I'm loving it. I'm also going freaking boy crazy which usually isn't me. ( Read more... )

So I've been helping at Evergreen's band camp, and let me just tell you about the hella nice mellos that they're borrowing from the Crusaders. Holy crap. All nice, beautiful, silver, same brand, and with actual mellophone mouthpieces...::sigh:: It's not even fair because the section could've played so much better with them last year and this year they're not helping em much.

Anyway....your college sounds awesome, I'm glad you're having fun. Good luck with that heat!

they're dynasty's, but they're from oc. we have a couple baritones too.

college life sounds awesome. I think you should carry a camera around with you and you could film "The Daily Life of Alyx" and then send it to everyone and we can watch it like a reality show.

Don Howard, or whatnot is a worthless trombone instructor. TOTALLY TERRIBLY WORTHLESS. please tell me he is better at teaching one to marching than teaching one to play an instrument.

Don Howard is one of the nicest and coolest people I have met. You would be shot here if you ever said anything negative about him. He took WSU's marching band from a group of less than 60 into a 235 hard working and enthusiastic band in just a few years. On every band shirt anyone ever makes it reads "Don Howard's marching band" because he's held in such high esteem.

Good, I know WSU's parade band is good but I ahve never seen their show. but in all honesty, he is a terrible trombone instructor, that wasn't me being an ass for kicks.... ask any low brass player at mv....sad times..... I am watching tommy lee goes to college, and he can't play quints...at all.
