I'm fasting until the next time I see him.  Big words haha... i can still remember countless nights when I felt so empowered that I'm deluded into thinking I can fast forever only to binge the next day. Well, I feel so empty without him that... I really should lack the will to eat

I saw you voted on my recent poll, so I'm dropping in to say thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it.

Your last point reminds me of that monologue from the movie Spanglish. The narrator talks about how women focused on weight lose sight of the things that inherently make them feminine, and thus suffer in their relationships: motherhood, sex, etc. I can't find the quote, though, but I assure you, it was a lot more eloquent than what I wrote here. Haha.

Thanks. =) I should've left you a comment when I voted, haha, otherwise it seems so random. I saw you in one of the ed communities and your username is so similar to my aim/msn that it piqued my interest and that's when I saw your post.

The red hair is gorgeous! What's your new job that allows for the "physical manifestation" of your creativity? I love her expression, haha. It must be awesome to have a job that allows that.

I saw Spanglish awhile ago but I dont' recall that part. =( I do remember the mom who's real big on fitness.

Well, I used to work retail, and they didn't want anything too flamboyant, like all-over color. I just started a new job at a relay service for the deaf or hard of hearing. It's basically a call center. A deaf person connects with us either through the phone (like if they can speak but can't hear), through a machine called a TTY, or the internet and we place a verbatim phone call for them to help the people communicate back and forth depending on their needs.

Since no one sees us but fellow employees, there's a very casual dress code. Piercings, hair color, flip flops, whatever, as long as you aren't dressed "provocatively." :D I'm pretty excited about that since I've had to adhere to the generic polo shirt and khakis. At my second to last job, I had to wear a button up with black slacks. EW! So, this is definitely awesome.

ETA: How long are you fasting? I've been fasting all day too, but it was only slightly intentional. I think I could probably go longer.

That's a cool job you've got. Didn't know there's a service like that. And I second the "EW" for button up with black slacks, lolz.

As for the fasting, I wasn't able to last more than two days. I get light headed and start thinking I need some nutrition, but once I get a little I can't stop eating. =( I wish i can pull off a fast with only the slightest intention to, haha.
