I fixed my car and found that I'd put together the strut assembly wrong. It's supposed to be a sandwich of: washer, bushing, sleeve, bushing, washer, bolt. Well, likely in my rush to re-assemble everything I'd left out the first washer which is what really sits at the base of the whole thing. When it's missing everything can slide out of place
