being thankful
Even though I have lots and lots to be thankful for (family - both biological and chosen, friends, job, and house being high on that list), I mostly can't stop thinking how thankful I am that no one was seriously hurt in the car accident we were in last weekend.

Poor bigbluejoe. Around noon today he asked if he could come over to use our washing machine to dye some shirts (he has a front-loading machine, which apparently you can't use with dye). two weeks
It is hard to believe, but it was already two weeks ago when we closed on the house. Up to the very end, Bank of America was annoying and frustrating and lame. But the closing itself was pretty good - it all went smoothly except that the seller had to wait FOREVER for their proceeds check to be released. the freaking out should really begin now
We FINALLY got the FHA appraisal today (from the inspection done last Monday, WTF?) on the house we want to buy. There are no required repairs; however, they do want a qualified HVAC person to inspect the furnace. If that doesn't turn up any problems, we may actually pull this off ( Read more... )
