Sinai Revisited

Mar 18, 2007 20:30

This was a pretty good weekend.  My roommate practically forced me to come along with her and a group of people to Dahab and Mount Sinai, even though I'd already been.  Her justifications were that we both needed to get out of Cairo and away from all the drama that's been going on in our apartment and floor...which were valid reasons, I might add ( Read more... )

As far as I know, they're still sitting in a nice little cluster on a shelf in his office. And I hadn't even thought about the airports...oh well, you can have liquids in your carry-on luggage, so hopefully I don't get detained and interrogated. Hehe.

Dude, I remember when you went to Estonia....it was some school break, and we were all complaining that we weren't going anywhere cool, and then you were all, "Yeah, it sucks, I'm going to ESTONIA", and we were all, "where the hell is Estonia, anyway?". Good times. I applaud your dedication to Lent; I have given up Being A Bad Person and Thinking Things That Aren't That Nice About Other People, among other things. I know, I'm a fantastic Catholic. Speaking of me, Dasha and I were hanging out over break and commenting on HOW AWESOME THIS SUMMER IS GOING TO BE. Seriously. Awesome. She tells me you're going to take the GRE? I think maybe you should do grad school in London and live in my house, and Emily Buss will live there too, and we'll all convince Dasha to do med school there and live happily ever after. IT COULD HAPPEN.

AUGH I'm so jealous you and Dasha got to hang out over Spring Break! I seriously don't think I've seen her in over a year. I think the last time was Spring Break '06, which is muy ridiculoso!!! And I haven't seen you in forever, either. If everything goes as planned, I should be getting back to C-U on May 29th...ish. And speaking of London, my hot half-Dutch, half-German professor did grad school at the London School of Economics! It's a really good school...I could go there! Mwhahaha! Mumtaz.

Get me a ring with Slippery Liz written on it in Arabic! Don't make it say "your mom".

I'll work on it! It might just end up being "Slippery"...that's good enough, right? Hehehe. That'll be fun explaining to the Egyptian ring-makers...
