Nerds
My new recent annoyance with the world is the overuse of the word nerd. Suddenly its cool to call yourself a nerd and I don't get it. I don't think its a bad thing to be a nerd by any means. Big schools
So I really like UCI for alot of things (research related) however the teaching situations here annoy me lots and I'm fairly certain it's not a "here" thing but a big school thing. Stop Loss
I am so sick of people calling a stop-loss a back door draft. Thats completely ridiculous it is not. What the movie neglected to tell people is that everyone who signs up for a 4 year contract active duty also signs up for a 4 year inactive reserves. Its in the contract that they willing signed.
