What was supposed to be a one night stay aboard lovely Camp Baharia turned into a three day stay due to the sandstorm and the pesky habit they have of grounding air, and therefore medevacs, which are kind of important. I did not miss the dust. I most certainly did not miss the dust. I grew up riding and racing dirt bikes with my dad, an extremely dusty sport during the dry summer months. It's no secret that I am not a fan of winter, christmas, snow or the cold. Since moving away from here a couple of years ago, I've come to appreciate the lack of madness associated with snow, snow removal, driving in snow, dressing for snow etc. Tonight was the first time since I got home saturday night that I was able to venture out on my own. I hate christmas. It's only two days after thanksgiving and I'm already ridiculously sick of christmas and all of the lame seasonal songs, commercials, packaging, slogans, you name it.

Apparently I am old and lame. Last night one of the trick or treaters was probably 3 years old, wearing a shaggy cut blond-ish colored wig and a sequin top. I asked her if she was Tina Turner? The mom explained that she was Hannah Montana, a character that Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter plays on tv.

Oops.

This week has been a nice, low key week at work. I was able to spend all day Tuesday in the field supervising the CVOT (Combat Vehicle Operators Training) course.
